Walt Disney Records releases the original motion picture soundtrack for Solo: A Star Wars Story.   The album features score composed and adapted by Academy® and Grammy®-Award nominated composer John Powell and the new Han Solo theme and original Star Wars music by five-time Academy Award-winning composer John Williams.

Acclaimed composer John Powell marks his first-ever feature collaboration score with Lucasfilm for "Solo: A Star Wars Story."   Recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, the score features a 125-piece orchestra and choir conducted by Gavin Greenaway.  Powell composed and produced the score including several new themes written by Powell including "Chewie Theme," "Love Theme," "Ensys Nest Theme," "Gang Theme" and "L3 Theme," as well as adapting the new Han Solo theme and some of the original Star Wars music by John Williams.

Most recently, Powell scored "Ferdinand," as well as the "How to Train Your Dragon," "Bourne" and "Ice Age" films.

"The Adventures of Han" theme was composed and conducted by John Williams.  This new theme for Han Solo was recorded by the Recording Arts Orchestra of Los Angeles at the Newman Scoring Stage. Williams has written the complete scores for all eight of the Star Wars saga films, beginning with 1977's Star Wars: A New Hope for which he earned an Academy Award for Best Original Score. Most recently his score for Star Wars: The Last Jedi was nominated for an Oscar®.

Describing his approach to the Solo: A Star Wars Story score, Powell says, "There is a language that John Williams uses in the Star Wars films, and I've tried to live up to the quality of what he has done before by keeping form and structure within the score and following the storytelling as honestly and elegantly as possible."

He adds, "There is a lot of thematic material from the original movies that I used that are not specific to Han. They're specific to the Millennium Falcon, TIE fighters and the Empire. Those types of things are very useful as they're all part of the language we know. There are lots of other characters and ideas within the film that I wrote tunes and melodies (themes) for, so it's a mixture of new themes by me, a new theme by John Williams, and some of the old material."

Marvel Music's Captain America: Civil War original motion picture soundtrack will be available in physical and digital formats on Friday, May 6, 2016.  The soundtrack features music composed and produced by Henry Jackman ("Captain America: The Winter Soldier," "Captain Phillips" and "Big Hero 6").  Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" opens in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2016.
Jackman recorded the score at London's Air Lyndhurst Studio and also serves as Soundtrack Producer.  The Executive Soundtrack Producers include Anthony & Joe Russo, Kevin Feige, Nate Moore and Dave Jordan.

The dates for U2's upcoming iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour 2015 have been announced today by Live Nation. The iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour, which begins in 2015, will see U2 play indoor arenas for the first time in a decade and will visit 19 cities worldwide during its first year with pairs of shows in each city. In addition, special shows are being planned forDublin for the end of next year – to benefit the U2-initiated Music Generation project - details of which will be announced as soon as they are finalised.

Universal Pictures today announced the launch of the Get on Up Tour, an authentic and immersive storytelling experience crossing the country in anticipation of the studio's upcoming James Brown biopic, Get on Up.  Beginning on Friday, June 20, fans can "Get Up," "Get Down" and "Get on the Good Foot," throughout the United States this summer in anticipation of the new film that arrives in theaters on August 1, 2014.

The Get on Up Tour is brought to life through an experience designed to inspire fans, as well as educate a new generation about James Brown's influence on popular culture by leveraging powerful visuals from the film and showcasing iconic images and memorabilia.

"Our goal with the Get on Up Tour is to entertain audiences who were directly influenced by James Brown's life, as well as to demonstrate to a new generation just how impactful he was, and remains, to modern culture," said Talitha Watkins, vice president of multicultural marketing, Universal Pictures.  "We want to engage fans in a way that authentically honors his legacy while bringing the fun and funk that he brought to global audiences."

The visuals on the Get on Up Tour will bring visitors into an experience with exciting elements and activities, including a place where attendees can record their best James Brown impersonation, a dance area that casts colorful shadows as guests show off their moves and a vinyl record tribute wall that prompts fans to capture how James Brown inspired them.

The tour will also feature a viewing area where attendees can watch clips from the upcoming release of Get on Up, as well as immerse themselves in outtakes and behind-the-scenes footage with the cast from the film's production set.  Additionally, fans can join the never-ending groove of "Can't Stop the Funk" (www.cantstopthefunk.com) by recording their moves and uploading them to a site, where they will be featured in a tribute to James Brown.

The Get on Up Tour kicks off in New York City at the American Black Film Festival June 20-22 and travels to the Essence Festival for its 20^th anniversary celebration in New Orleans on July 3-6.  The tour will return to New York on July 18.
