The flick is about, an ex-motorcycle stunt guy Luke (Gosling), who become the John Dillinger of our times. This bastard does this, to  provide for his wife (Hitch's Eva Mendes+ real life girlfriend) and child. 

After a string of hit heists, he violently collides with "an ambitious rookie cop" named Avery (Cooper), making  his way through the force, with crocked cops at every turn.
