WIN A TRIP WITH THOSE CRAZY, RICH, ASIANS!
Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has teamed up with Warner Bros. to celebrate the contemporary romantic comedy Crazy Rich Asians, one of the most hotly anticipated movies of this summer, and its Singapore flavor.
Coming to theaters on August 15, the movie is based on the New York Times best-selling book by Singapore-born author Kevin Kwan. Crazy Rich Asians, which is primarily filmed in Singapore, showcases the city-state's vibrant and multi-faceted food, culture, and lifestyle scenes.
STB, in collaboration with Warner Bros., is rolling out a suite of activities and events to fully immerse audiences in the Crazy Rich Asians experience, bring them closer to destination Singapore and whet their appetites for the food, culture and nightlife experiences available in Singapore.
Movie fans can head to the "Crazy Rich Singapore Week", a pop-up event jointly organized by STB and TAO Group in Los Angeles, starring various Singapore creatives - an artist, a mixologist, a chef, and a DJ. See Annex A for more information about the Singapore creatives, and Annex B for more information on the experiences they will showcase at the Crazy Rich Singapore Week.

Crazy Rich Singapore Week (9 – 11 Aug) - Savour dishes such as turmeric coconut curry of crab, calamansi, kaffir lime and beef short rib rendang (braised meat stewed in coconut milk and spices) by special guest chef Malcolm Lee of Candlenut, the only Michelin-starred Peranakan restaurant in the world.

Twin Galaxies™, the premier competitive gaming and esports entertainment company, today announced TGFC (Twin Galaxies Fight Club), a new esport event series that brings together top-ranked fighting game stars and legends from around the world to compete in elite showcases of talent. The inaugural event, TGFC 1, features 17 of the biggest names in esports in eight epic matchups across popular fighting games, including the Street Fighter® franchise, Tekken™ 7, Dragon Ball FighterZ and Marvel vs. Capcom® 2: New Age of Heroes. TGFC 1 debuts at the new Esports Arena Las Vegas, located at Luxor Hotel and Casino, on August 4, 2018.
"Fan passion for professional sports is fueled by epic rivalries and superstar performances, the exact formula we are using to bring that level of excitement to the fighting game community with the TGFC," said Jace Hall, Twin Galaxies Co-Chairman. In the main event, known rivals Goichi "GO1" Kishida and Dominique "SonicFox" McLean will square off in Dragon Ball FighterZ in a first-to-five exhibition match. SonicFox and GO1 have already met in five major tournaments and exhibition matches this year, with GO1 holding a 3-2 head-to-head lead.
The co-main event at TGFC 1 is a battle of dominance between the top two Street Fighter V players in the world, Hajime "Tokido" Taniguchi and Lee "Infiltration" Seon-woo. The renowned fighters currently own the no. 1 and 2 world rankings and have a combined 30 first-place finishes and eight EVO championships.
Other matchups include a first-to-three Super Smash Bros. Melee fight between Adam "Armada" Lindgren and Joseph "Mang0" Marquez, widely considered the best players in the world, and a special Street Fighter 30th anniversary match with legends Alex Valle and John Choi. THE BLACK PANTHER RETURNS TO SILVER SCREEN, FOR 17 BRIDGES.
STXfilms, a division of Robert Simonds' global, next-generation media company STX Entertainment, today announced that Chadwick Boseman, the breakout star of this year's blockbuster hit Black Panther, will star in and produce the studio's upcoming action-thriller 17 BRIDGES alongside his writing and producing partner Logan Coles. Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo are set to produce and Mike Larocca will executive produce the film under their AGBO banner. Brian Kirk (Luther, Game of Thrones) is directing the script written by Adam Mervis (The Philly Kid). 17 BRIDGES follows a disgraced NYPD detective (Boseman) who, after being thrust into a citywide manhunt for a cop killer, is given a shot at redemption. The film will go into production in September 2018.
"STX has assembled a dream team of collaborators on 17 BRIDGES, bringing together the global talents behind two of the biggest action films ever made to give audiences a thrilling new take on the race against the clock crime-drama," said Adam Fogelson, Chairman of STXfilms. "Chadwick Boseman's razor-sharp instincts and undeniable charisma captivated millions of people around the world in Black Panther, and Joe and Anthony Russo have breathed a new energy into the action genre with films like Avengers: Infinity War. Their unique and intelligent approach to filmmaking is anything but formulaic, and with Brian Kirk at the helm directing, this film promises to go beyond the typical popcorn fare."
In addition to Marvel's Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, Boseman has also held starring roles in the critically-acclaimed biopics 42, Get on Up and Marshall. Boseman and Coles are also set to produce the film adaptation of Hakeem Oluseyi's memoir The Stars in My Soul, which has been picked up by Working Title. The duo worked together on 2016's Message From the King, which Boseman starred in and executive produced and Coles co-produced. Boseman is repped by Greene & Associates, Management 360 and Ziffren Brittenham, and Coles is also repped by Management 360.
The Russo brothers are repped by WME, Kirk is repped by CAA, Grandview, Independent Talent (UK) and Gang Tyre, and Mervis is repped by APA, CAA, and Sloane Offer. STXfilms' SVP of Production Drew Simon and Director of Development Kate Vorhoff will oversee the film's production.
17 BRIDGES is the latest in a series of action releases from STXfilms, including upcoming thrillers MILE 22 (Aug. 17), from director Peter Berg and starring Mark Wahlberg and PEPPERMINT (Sept. 7) starring Jennifer Garner. Additionally, STX recently announced new action franchise MUSCLE for Vin Diesel, an untitled Jason Statham project co-produced with Tencent Pictures, KILLER'S GAME, a second Statham film, an untitled action-comedy starring Dave Bautista, and STEEL SOLDIERS the Robert Zemeckis produced sci-fi action feature co-produced with Alibaba Pictures.
