LOS ANGELES - “Criminal Minds” star Shemar Moore is recovering with a
broken his leg after getting hit by a car over the weekend, a rep for
the actor confirmed to Access Hollywood.


The 39-year-old actor was struck during a bike ride in L.A. on
Saturday.


Following the accident, the actor was taken to an L.A.-area hospital
where he was treated for his broken leg.


His rep told Access, “he’s OK” and recuperating from the roadway
mishap.

Paula Abdul says she's optimistic about remaining as an American Idol judge and says the show has invited her back for a ninth season and beyond — subject to the negotiation of a new contract.

Abdul told The Associated Press in an interview on Monday in Atlanta that she's been invited to stay for the duration of the show. She was backstage at the new television show Drop Dead Diva, which premieres on July 12.

Abdul's contract, which expired after the eighth season, has not been renewed. There has been speculation that Abdul would be replaced by Kara DioGuardi, who was recently added as a judge.

The 47-year-old singer-dancer says she hopes a deal can be arranged so she can return to the hit show.

We've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.


Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby
Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when
paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse
back.


A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived. A
cardiologist at UCLA tells TMZ Jackson died of cardiac arrest.


Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was
completely unresponsive.


We're told one of the staff members at Jackson's home called 911.


La Toya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead.

Just as Heroes was gaining some creative momentum comes word of
another setback: Bryan Fuller has vacated his post as consulting
producer.


The acclaimed Pushing Daisies auteur tells me that he left to focus on
developing new projects for NBC, and not (as some have speculated) due
to creative differences with series creator Tim Kring.


"I'm crafting two pilots right now and it's a lot of work," admits
Fuller, who has an overall deal with NBC. "It was just too hard to
[juggle] Heroes and my development; something had to give."


Fuller's exit was first reported by Herc at Ain't It Cool News.


Fuller returned to Heroes last December, shortly after ABC dropped the
ax on Daisies. Many (yours truly included) credited him with the
show's end-of-season creative rebirth.

Jessica Simpson is returning to MTV Networks for a VH1 series targeted
for a 2010 launch.

regular women as well as some local pop culture icons. Simpson will
study local fashions, dietary fads and beauty regimes and even
participate in some of the extreme practices she discovers.


"I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence
will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some
women put on themselves to look perfect," said Simpson, who has gotten
