THE BLACK PANTHER RETURNS TO SILVER SCREEN, FOR 17 BRIDGES.
STXfilms, a division of Robert Simonds' global, next-generation media company STX Entertainment, today announced that Chadwick Boseman, the breakout star of this year's blockbuster hit Black Panther, will star in and produce the studio's upcoming action-thriller 17 BRIDGES alongside his writing and producing partner Logan Coles. Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo are set to produce and Mike Larocca will executive produce the film under their AGBO banner. Brian Kirk (Luther, Game of Thrones) is directing the script written by Adam Mervis (The Philly Kid). 17 BRIDGES follows a disgraced NYPD detective (Boseman) who, after being thrust into a citywide manhunt for a cop killer, is given a shot at redemption. The film will go into production in September 2018.
"STX has assembled a dream team of collaborators on 17 BRIDGES, bringing together the global talents behind two of the biggest action films ever made to give audiences a thrilling new take on the race against the clock crime-drama," said Adam Fogelson, Chairman of STXfilms. "Chadwick Boseman's razor-sharp instincts and undeniable charisma captivated millions of people around the world in Black Panther, and Joe and Anthony Russo have breathed a new energy into the action genre with films like Avengers: Infinity War. Their unique and intelligent approach to filmmaking is anything but formulaic, and with Brian Kirk at the helm directing, this film promises to go beyond the typical popcorn fare."
In addition to Marvel's Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, Boseman has also held starring roles in the critically-acclaimed biopics 42, Get on Up and Marshall. Boseman and Coles are also set to produce the film adaptation of Hakeem Oluseyi's memoir The Stars in My Soul, which has been picked up by Working Title. The duo worked together on 2016's Message From the King, which Boseman starred in and executive produced and Coles co-produced. Boseman is repped by Greene & Associates, Management 360 and Ziffren Brittenham, and Coles is also repped by Management 360.
The Russo brothers are repped by WME, Kirk is repped by CAA, Grandview, Independent Talent (UK) and Gang Tyre, and Mervis is repped by APA, CAA, and Sloane Offer. STXfilms' SVP of Production Drew Simon and Director of Development Kate Vorhoff will oversee the film's production.
17 BRIDGES is the latest in a series of action releases from STXfilms, including upcoming thrillers MILE 22 (Aug. 17), from director Peter Berg and starring Mark Wahlberg and PEPPERMINT (Sept. 7) starring Jennifer Garner. Additionally, STX recently announced new action franchise MUSCLE for Vin Diesel, an untitled Jason Statham project co-produced with Tencent Pictures, KILLER'S GAME, a second Statham film, an untitled action-comedy starring Dave Bautista, and STEEL SOLDIERS the Robert Zemeckis produced sci-fi action feature co-produced with Alibaba Pictures.

INCREDIBLE MUSIC!
Oscar®-winning composer Michael Giacchino returns to the world of the Incredibles with a new score for Disney•Pixar's "Incredibles 2." The original motion picture soundtrack, with music composed and produced by Giacchino, will be released by Walt Disney Records today. The film opens in U.S. theaters on June 15, 2018.
Giacchino has credits that feature some of the most popular and acclaimed film projects in recent history, including The Incredibles, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Ratatouille, Star Trek, Jurassic World and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Giacchino's 2009 score for the Pixar hit Up earned him an Oscar®, a Golden Globe®, the BAFTA, the Broadcast Film Critics' Choice Award and two GRAMMY® Awards.
"The Incredibles" has a very special place in Giacchino's heart as it was the composer's first film score. Giacchino and writer/director Brad Bird have collaborated on 5 film scores since 2004.
According to Brad Bird, Giacchino is remarkably versatile. "Michael is a musical chameleon," says Bird. "He has many styles at his disposal. In many ways, he is a fellow imaginer or an actor who's playing a part in the movie."
Having established the now-familiar musical flavor in "The Incredibles," Giacchino chose not to revisit the first score in order to take a fresh approach. Giacchino said "Brad and I knew we were going to use the main theme of course, but I still wanted it to have a different vibe while it stayed in the same vein and character." His inspirations for the score included Henry Mancini, John Barry and Hoyt Curtin.
In addition to writing themes for Elastigirl and new characters, the composer-turned-songwriter also created end-credit jingles featuring theme songs for Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl and Frozone.
The soundtrack features cues from Giacchino's score, plus the jingles. The digital version also features bonus tracks, including versions of the jingles by Disney Music Group's new a cappella group, DCappella, as well as "The Glory Days" from the original soundtrack.

GET THE SOLO LOVE THEME SONG HERE.
Walt Disney Records releases the original motion picture soundtrack for Solo: A Star Wars Story. The album features score composed and adapted by Academy® and Grammy®-Award nominated composer John Powell and the new Han Solo theme and original Star Wars music by five-time Academy Award-winning composer John Williams.
Acclaimed composer John Powell marks his first-ever feature collaboration score with Lucasfilm for "Solo: A Star Wars Story." Recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, the score features a 125-piece orchestra and choir conducted by Gavin Greenaway. Powell composed and produced the score including several new themes written by Powell including "Chewie Theme," "Love Theme," "Ensys Nest Theme," "Gang Theme" and "L3 Theme," as well as adapting the new Han Solo theme and some of the original Star Wars music by John Williams.
Most recently, Powell scored "Ferdinand," as well as the "How to Train Your Dragon," "Bourne" and "Ice Age" films.
"The Adventures of Han" theme was composed and conducted by John Williams. This new theme for Han Solo was recorded by the Recording Arts Orchestra of Los Angeles at the Newman Scoring Stage. Williams has written the complete scores for all eight of the Star Wars saga films, beginning with 1977's Star Wars: A New Hope for which he earned an Academy Award for Best Original Score. Most recently his score for Star Wars: The Last Jedi was nominated for an Oscar®.
Describing his approach to the Solo: A Star Wars Story score, Powell says, "There is a language that John Williams uses in the Star Wars films, and I've tried to live up to the quality of what he has done before by keeping form and structure within the score and following the storytelling as honestly and elegantly as possible."
He adds, "There is a lot of thematic material from the original movies that I used that are not specific to Han. They're specific to the Millennium Falcon, TIE fighters and the Empire. Those types of things are very useful as they're all part of the language we know. There are lots of other characters and ideas within the film that I wrote tunes and melodies (themes) for, so it's a mixture of new themes by me, a new theme by John Williams, and some of the old material."
