EDGE OF TOMORROW TO HAVE TRIPLE THREAT PREIMIERS IN
Stars race against time to meet fans in London, Paris and New York on an unprecedented Red Carpet Repeat tour
On May 28, the stars of "Edge of Tomorrow" will take part in a groundbreaking worldwide event when, for the first time ever, three fan premieres will be held in three different countries in just one day, "resetting" the red carpet as Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt race the clock to make each event before time runs out. In "Edge of Tomorrow," Cruise's character relives the events of one day over and over in an epic battle to save the world. The story begins as he arrives in London, making that city the perfect place to kick off this global event. All times are local:
- 7:00 a.m. inaugural "Come Find Me When You Wake Up" premiere kicks off on the carpet in London, with a 9:00 a.m. screening.
The film takes both characters to France, where they face off against an insurmountable army of alien invaders.
- 2:00 p.m. red carpet in Paris, screening at 4:00 p.m.
The final premiere will take the stars back to the U.S.
- 10:00 p.m. red carpet in New York City, with the final screening-on the edge of tomorrow-at 11:59 p.m.
Between cities, Cruise, Blunt and the film's director, Doug Liman, will interact with fans via social media as they jet from country to country. A contingent of select press will travel to each premiere, covering the events as they unfold.
There will be live stream components for each of the three events. Those fans on the ground can network via social media using #EOTLive.
Oscar® nominee Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt star in Warner Bros. Pictures' and Village Roadshow Pictures' sci-fi thriller "Edge of Tomorrow," under the direction of Doug Liman.
The epic action of "Edge of Tomorrow" unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.
Major William Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop-forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again.
But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.
The international cast also includes Bill Paxton, Brendan Gleeson, Noah Taylor, Kick Gurry, Dragomir Mrsic, Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong, Franz Drameh, Masayoshi Haneda and Tony Way.
Liman directed "Edge of Tomorrow" from a screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie and Jez Butterworth & John-Henry Butterworth, based on the novel entitled All You Need is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. Erwin Stoff produced, along with Tom Lassally, Jeffrey Silver, Gregory Jacobs and Jason Hoffs. The executive producers are Doug Liman, David Bartis, Joby Harold, Hidemi Fukuhara and Bruce Berman, with Tim Lewis and Kim Winther serving as co-producers.
Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, a 3 Arts Production, in association with Viz Productions, a Doug Liman Film, "Edge of Tomorrow." Opening domestically on June 6, 2014, the film will be distributed in 2D and 3D in select theatres and IMAX by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow.

Samuel L. Jackson will film a cameo (as Zeus Carver) for the Japan based flick. The arrogant Willis hopes to reignite the racial "hype" of the ...With A Vengeance sequel.
The Global Dispatch revealed that "John McClane will head to Japan to be honored on the anniversary of the heroics from the first film."
Writer Ben Trebilcook continued “I can say that McClane is invited to Tokyo by the Nakatomi Corporation, to be commended for his bravery and efforts in saving 36 lives, celebrating this on the 30th anniversary of the (West Coast Tower) Hostage Crisis.”
He feels the film will be, in the vein of the movies: Black Rain and Rising Sun, in using the culture clash and the Yakuza (Japanese mafia) to bring John McClane back to his family...again ("siblings" Jai Courtney and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.) Willis wants to FINISH the story once and for all- after the stupid, confusing, James Bond driven, A Good Day to Die Hard, last year.
"McClane began on his own and should end on his own" stated the ...cook. He explained,"Of course he’s had assistance in various guises, aiding him in his ventures; but it’s not Lethal Weapon or a Jackie Chan film.”
The producers want to bring the violent, thieves-as-terrorists action saga "back the basics" and feel the "inclusion of Jackson would be an interesting" way to say proper good bye, to the famed demi-clever, semi-racist/smart assed cop.

WILL ARNET HOSTS REALITY CHARITY EVENT WITH HELP FROM HIS FAMOUS FRIENDS.
The entertainment industry turned out in force last night in support of Motion Picture & Television Fund's (MPTF) third annual "Reel Stories, Real Lives" event, a unique evening of powerful readings which told the stories of industry members and their families who have benefitted from MPTF's services in recent years. The event, held at Milk Studios, was hosted by Will Arnett and featured video remarks from Mark Wahlberg and readings by renowned Hollywood actors including Casey Affleck, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Andy Samberg, and Taylor Schilling,
Each story was written by some of Hollywood's leading feature and television writers including Scott Cooper, M.A. Fortin & Joshua Miller, Michael Green, Karey Kirkpatrick & Steve Hickner & Billy Ray, and John Krasinski. This year's show also included a special tribute to volunteering at MPTF by the very creative Funny or Die production team starring Beth Grant and Frances Fisher.
MPTF President and CEO Bob Beitcher said, "My love affair with MPTF began 12 years ago at an event just like tonight's 'Reel Stories' hosted by Kevin Spacey. Witnessing Hollywood's finest tell the amazing stories of how MPTF takes care of industry members in their time of need made me proud to be part of the entertainment community, led me to step up my financial contributions to MPTF, and screamed to me 'get involved.' And thankfully I did!"
The evening drew approximately 450 industry leaders, and celebrity guests including Casey Affleck, Will Arnett, Frances Fischer, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Beth Grant, Anne Hathaway, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Brie Larson, Samantha Mathis, Dawn Olivieri, Sasha Pieterse, Andy Samberg, Taylor Schilling and more.
The event, which was produced by Guymon Casady, Bill Gerber, Kevin McCormick, Karen Rosenfelt, Greg Sills, Courtenay Valenti,and Warren Zavala also featured a special exhibit, The Music Within: Celebrating the Wonderful World of Album Art Cover Design, including worksby John Cage, Jo Ann Callis, Bruce Davidson, Henry Kiltz, William Eggleston, Raymond Pettibon, Norman Seeff, Alex Steinweiss, Andy Warhol, Hipgnosis, and more.
"There is no better way to introduce the next generation of Hollywood to the importance of MPTF to this industry than the creative talent brought together to tell the stories of the people helped by this charity," said Jeffrey Katzenberg, Chairman of the MPTF Foundation.
