EXPOSE: IS SOUTH PARK SELLING OUT TO SPONSORS?

----The real questions is why the show- that constantly attacks others in this society for its greed,and/or stupidity ,being so quiet on this hidden revenue stream- they have invented for themselves.

If you've watched the show for the last few season, the show that dares to subvert and satirize America, has been chocked full secret ads, that rarely or barely have anything to do the the well-written plot, of the ground breaking series.

Recently episodes have featured: Kyle,Cartman and Butters, dinning in Denny's eatery- pushing the weird Bacon-opolis campaign. Cartman beams with pride to his Jewish nemesis, about the fact the store will grind up bacon, into a hot fudge sundae now. At the top of another show, Cartman satirizes the Real Housewives' table shaking incident,by spilling all his friends food and drinks. The Dr. Pepper Logo is visible, even with the purposely crappy animation. Finally, the infamous Tiger Woods/Sex rehab show, where Cartman (notice the trend) and Kenny play a funny, Mortal Combat/Grand Theft Auto style demo of Tiger and his wife's domestic disturbance reports. The problem is the kids, are at a Game Stop style store- with X Box 360 logo, so prominently displayed that only a far sighted person could have missed it.

Product placement is hardly new, and its much worse in the movies, where money has gotten so big- they are now secret sponsors who are basically funding the studio's projects now. On TV though, the commercials are -built into the show as breaks. Since the Dawn of VCR,DVD and DVR era, viewers can ignore or fast forward thorough most of the messages now. So, networks and shows have used this concept, as a last resort to keep sponsors happy and force the viewer to notice its advertisers wares.

Other established shows have experimented with this: The Closer, Burn Notice,Ally McBeal, Buffy, and others have tried this, to obvious and minimal degree. South Park is so far- the only show to succeed in weaving the sponsors (almost seamlessly) into plot without any viewers noticing or complaining.

Still, what is happening to all the money that is rolling in for the show? Is it going to the network? Did the long-time creators of the show: Trey Parker and Matt Stone, use the funds to bankroll their now hit and critically acclaimed Broadway show, The Book of Mormon? Why hasn't the extra money gone into better animation (like the famed Best Buy sponsored World of War craft Show?)

An attempt was made to get a comment, from the network's PR dept. There was no answer by the story's deadline.

NEW SHOTS OF THE HUNGER GAMES.

STEVEN SPIELBERG, WAS BEHIND THE MEGAN FOX FIRING-AFTER HER HITLER COMMENT.

From Popeater.

Exec Producer Spielberg to Director Micheal Bay-"You know the Hitler thing....fire her right now."

He replaced "Fox was replaced by Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley" on the upcoming Transformers sequel,Dark of the Moon.

Fox's star shown bright "after the first two Transformers movie
and it was due to her performance in them which helped her to be named
one of the sexiest people in the world."

The rancor started "between Fox and Bay" in 2009 in a London magazine article: "[Bay] wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and
he is. So he's a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from
set, and he's not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his
personality because he's so awkward, so hopelessly awkward."

Fox went on to find Bay's off set antics "endearing," because "He has no social skills at all. He's vulnerable and fragile in real life, and then on set he's a tyrant," said Fox.

Bay later confirmed "that he was not hurt by the said the Hitler comment."

Spielberg and other crew member sure were, when the moody 25-year-old actress, expressed her view. At an open forum at Bay's website, one unknown crew member defended the firing ,"We've had the tedious experience of working with the dumb-as-a-rock Megan Fox on both Transformers movies."

TRUE BLOOD-YEAR FOUR FOR YOU.

NEWS WIRE-PATRICK WARBURTON'S RULES OF ENGAGEMENT- CLEARED FOR DAILY BROADCAST SYNDICATION.

Set for Fall 2012 Off-Net Debut

Sony Pictures Television has sold
the hit comedy series “Rules of Engagement” to local broadcast
stations in the nation’s top markets in off-network syndication, it
was announced today by John Weiser, president of U.S. distribution,
Sony Pictures Television.
In the top 3 markets, “Rules of Engagement” has been sold to WPIX-TV
New York (Tribune), KCAL9 Los Angeles (CBS) and WCIU-TV Chicago
(Weigel). Other leading station groups buying the series include
Tribune, CBS, Weigel, Belo and Meredith.
“The show’s compatibility with ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and ‘Two and a
Half Men,’ combined with its strong, consistent performance on CBS
among male viewers has been a major enticement to local stations” said
Weiser. “It’s a win, win for buyers because the show repeats better
than any comedy on television.”
“Rules of Engagement” is a comedy about the different phases of
male/female relationships, as seen through the eyes of a newly engaged
couple, Adam (Oliver Hudson) and Jennifer (Bianca Kajlich), a
long-time married pair, Jeff (Patrick Warburton) and Audrey (Megyn

People can describe the ride to you, but to really know what it’s like
you have to experience it for yourself.
A consistent utility player in every time slot for CBS during its
broadcast network run, “Rules of Engagement” builds its time period in
each of its five seasons. “Rules of Engagement” is also the #1 CBS
network comedy in repeatability.
Tom Hertz, Doug Robinson and Jack Giarraputo serve as executive
producers on “Rules of Engagement” which is produced by Happy Madison
Productions and CBS Television Studios in association with Sony
Pictures Television.

KATY PERRY HATES- FOR HER DRIVERS TO STARE AT HER.
From The Smoking Gun.

Chauffeurs working for the Fireworks singer, must sign a "rider" noting the following : Drivers "are not allowed to start a conversation w/ the client.” They are also barred from speaking "with Perry’s
guests or fans."  They can not "stare at the backseat through the rear view mirror." Apparently, if even that's is conducive to the prearranging the task of the profession. Plus, Drivers "should...not ask for
autographs or pictures, and especially not while driving!” Lastly, Perry’s limo must "be outfitted with four water bottles (presumably in the event she forgets her Siggs."

Weirdly, the rider state that  "promoters that they may be required to hold back
tickets for concerts so that Perry & Co. can provide the ducats to resellers for distribution to the public on the secondary market.” basically, Perry "reserves the right to" cash in on the revenue on ticket sales"--not made available at face price to her fans--scalped at inflated prices by these brokers."

EXPOSE: SHOULD CHUCK'S SARAH WALKER- BE THE NEXT BOND GIRL?

As she as one of the finalists for NBC's Wonder Woman, She's got expert level gun and kickboxing training and that Barbie vibe- that almost any outfit just melts across her athletic body.

Her poker face excludes good acting skills, for playing a villain or a villain secretly being a good girl, in well dressed disguise. These days, an almost thankless task for the Spy spoof that's about to go into syndication (they have roughly 80 shows now) and God willing...may only a have a year or two left in it.

She could have really good chemistry- with current Bond Daniel Craig- without making the crowd hate her (Olga K. from Quantum of Solice) or with being a mere pretty distraction (Solice's Gemma Arterton.)

Finally, considering how she went all Sonya Blade- on that Asian karate master- earlier in the season. Someone may have again stealthly auditioned for that upcoming flick.

CHUCK SHEEN LOSING- AGAIN IN COURT.

HAPPY DAYS SUES PARAMOUNT OVER $10 MILLION LOST WAGES

Alex Ben Block said the cast of the classic sitcom Happy Days isn t too happy with CBS
Studios and Paramount Pictures, charging in a lawsuit that they have
not been paid for their share of years of home video releases and
licensed merchandise that used their images and voices. The plaintiffs
say they are owed at least $10 million plus interest and possibly
damages.

The suit was brought Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court by Anson
Williams, Marion Ross, Don Most, Erin Moran and Patricia Bosley, who
is executor of the will of her husband the late Tom Bosley.
Ron Howard and Henry Winkler, also stars of the iconic show, are not
part of the suit.

Happy Days epitomizes what is best in America, says the opening
salvo of the lawsuit, adding that the actions by CBS and Paramount
epitomize what is worst in corporate America, exemplifying the worst
business practices.

The show originally ran on ABC from 1974 until 1984 and has been a
staple in TV syndication and on various cable outlets since. It was
originally produced by Paramount, but after a corporate split in 2005
became part of CBS Studios.

The suit apparently was triggered after a former cast member saw their
images on slot machines at a casino. They had also watched as the show
was repackaged for at least four DVD release in box sets beginning in
2004, again with their pictures on the boxes and in show photographs
used inside, according to the complaint.

The suit says CBS continues to market the brand to merchandisers,
quoting the CBS Consumer Products website as saying that Happy Days
has strong purchase-intent among women 18-54 and men 18-34. CBS also
sells related merchandise online with pictures of the cast on
everything from mugs to T-shirts.

All those included in the suit say they had different salaries but the
same contracts when it came to merchandising. Each was to receive a
portion of net proceeds after the studio took 50% off the top as its
handling fee, a practice the suit now questions.

This handling fee, charges the lawsuit, regardless of actual handling
costs violates defendants business conduct statement and constitutes a
material breach of the implied covenant of good fair and fair deal in
the agreement.

The suit says that beginning in 2002, Moran (who played Joani
Cunningham on the series) contacted the studio to see if she was owed
money for merchandising but was told none was owed. They say they had
no way to know the truth and only acted after seeing Happy Days slot
machines in casinos.

The suit says the failure to pay breached their contracts and that
CBS/Paramount is guilty of oppression, fraud and malice." The cast
believes it is entitled to punitive damages as well as at least $10
million in money they believe they are owed plus interest. They are
also seeking to be repaid for their legal costs in bringing the suit.

On the show Williams played Warren Potsie Weber, Ross was the mom
Marion Cunningham, Most was Ralph Malph, Moran was Joanie and Bosley
was the father, Howard Cunningham.

In a statement, a spokesperson for CBS Consumer Products responded:
We agree that funds are owed to the actors and have been working with
them for quite some time to resolve the issue."

Matthew Belloni also contributed to this article.
